Experiencing EPCOT with a Toddler

EPCOT with a Toddler? Yes!

This week, we made a trip to EPCOT at Disney World! We’ve always heard EPCOT doesn’t have much to do for young kids, but we found it great for our toddler. We only had a day to explore the park and we spent most of our time in the World Showcase.

The World Showcase is a section of EPCOT made up of 11 countries. It’s a ton of fun to walk through the replica countries and experience sights, food, drinks, and activities from other cultures. Of course, when you make it to Norway, you can meet Anna and Elsa. Or ride the Frozen Ever After ride! We also love the food in both Italy and Germany. And the architecture in Japan and Morocco. You can see more of our favorites in the video. Make sure while visiting EPCOT with a toddler that you leave room for all the delicious dining options. You can make reservations at a sit down restaurant. But our favorite tip is to check out all the little food stands in each of the countries. They make smaller portions so you can try a variety of items from different countries. Plus, you’re not sitting for long and it’s easier to keep that toddler of yours entertained and, more importantly, in one spot.

And not part of the World Showcase, but equally as important, meeting the “Mouse” (or Mickey and Minnie if you’re not a toddler). There is an indoor character spot closer to the front of the park where you can meet Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. The wait wasn’t too long – maybe half an hour. Our kiddo was a little young for a lot of the rides, but in the past some of our favorites have been Soarin’, Spaceship Earth, and Test Track. We also love the IllumiNations show and will have to make a whole video on that during our next visit!
